Your needs

Actors in the drying industry must transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Today, most drying processes rely on fossil fuels, but the need for change is urgent.

The process

Calcination is the most energy-intensive step in cement production. In a rotary kiln, limestone is heated to 850–900°C alongside clay, causing the release of carbon dioxide from the limestone. Components of the added clay react with calcium oxide to form cement clinker. The clinker is then ground into fine cement powder, ready for use in construction.
